Could we create a discovery mechanism in federated wiki using SEARCH in the Activity Plugin in combination with a roster?
We're using this Roster item in the examples below.
Selected sites wiki.dbbs.co lfi.wiki.dbbs.co wander.dbbs.co explore.dbbs.co
search
This section configures an Activity item as follows:
SEARCH Enrich
It doesn't seem to work.
SEARCH Enrich
discovery
Could an Activity item be configured with both ROSTER and SEARCH as a way to monitor changes in a subset of pages?
ROSTER Selected sites SEARCH Enrich
ROSTER Selected sites SEARCH Enrich
No results as of this writing. But if it could be made to work, it could support a wiki workflow that helped a group of authors to discover opportunities to negotiate new agreements.
If each author regularly checked a page configured with this kind of search:
ROSTER Cooperating Sites SEARCH Seeking SINCE 3 months
Then other Cooperating authors could publish pages with Seeking in the title to describe their request for goods or services from the cooperative.
A similar search and naming convention could enable the Cooperating authors to publish the goods or services they're offering to the cooperative:
ROSTER Cooperating Sites SEARCH Offering SINCE 3 months
Such a convention would enable the cooperating sites to discover needs and offers from their collaborators without requiring new notification mechanisms
grep
It looks like the combination of Roster and Activity causes the sites in the roster to be added to the neighborhood. So a Grep plugin should be able to find Enrich in the neighborhood as an example of the kind of results we would hope to find with the configuration in the discovery section.

This section demonstrates a working combination of a Roster item and an Activity item.
This section configures an Activity item as follows:
SINCE 1 weeks ROSTER Selected sites
